Please call 630-966-4254 for information on volunteering for either of these programs. Crisis Line of the Fox Valley Phone Operators: New volunteers are always needed and welcome. College credit may be available. Volunteer operators are offered extensive training and assistance in handling emergency procedures, telephone counseling techniques, and methods of providing the best information. Classroom training includes topics such as basic psychology, suicide, substance abuse, sexual and physical abuse, adolescent and family problems, and domestic violence. Please call 630-966-4304 for information on volunteering for the Crisis Line. Telethon Volunteers: Volunteers are needed to be VIPs (responsible for raising $250 and answering the phones for one hour on the air), to help with food, set-up and tear-down. Please call Ann Gerardo at 847-931-2293 if you would like to volunteer for the 2007 Telethon, held on March 10th at Waubonsee Community College. Event Committee Members: Committee members are needed to assist with planning the annual benefit auction, telethon, and golf outing. Committee members also assist with securing donations and sponsorships for events. Please call Ann Gerardo at 847-931-2293 if you would like to assist with one of our special events.
