Become a Volunteer

Volunteers help keep AID going by helping out with fundraising events, direct care, or simply donating their skills and talents. To become a volunteer, please fill out the contact form and indicate that you would like to volunteer.

Attend one of AID's Special Events

Attending one of AID's special events is a great way to show your support. These events include:

  • Telethon - March
    Staged at Waubonsee Community College Sugar Grove Campus, this exciting all-day, live televised event features local talents, interviews with staff, clients and families, and contests. Our biggest fundraiser, the telethon involves over 200 volunteers and is supported by business leaders in the community.
  • Annual Meeting - May
    The Annual Meeting is a time for AID to recognize the achievements of both staff and clients. New Board Members are also elected at this time.
  • Golf Outing - August
    Hosted at Royal Hawk Country Club in St. Charles, the Golf Outing includes 18 hole scramble, refreshments, use of golf cart, lunch, dinner, raffles, prizes and givaways.
  • Motorcycle Pledge Run: Mobility for Ability - August
    Mobility for Ability is our newest fundraiser, featuring a sun-filled ride (with stops along the way), games, and some awesome prizes!
  • Benefit Auction - September
    The Benefit Auction, at Eagle Brook Country Club in Geneva includes dinner, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and live and silent auctions. In addition, our popular Raffle Baskets, each valued at over $1000, make this an exciting evening for all who attend.
