Pediatric & Therapy Services
AID's Pediatric Therapy program serves
children, birth to 21 years of age, who exhibit a
developmental delay, have a diagnosed condition such
as Down Syndrome or Cerebral Palsy, or who come from
a high-risk medical or environmental background. Adult
services are also provided for individuals in need
of Physical, Occupational, and/or Speech Therapies.
Translation for Spanish speaking families
is available. A sliding fee scale is used based on
state funding source requirements. Some third party
funding is available for therapy and camp services.
Available Services:
- Children
In-Home Support (Program
72D)
Home support for children with developmental disabilities
to prevent the child from being removed from their
family and placed in more restrictive care.
- Audiology Services
Screenings & evaluations for children. Call
Liz at 630-966-4403 to schedule an appointment.
Doctor referrals required.
- Occupational Therapy
Focuses on skills involving the arms and hands such
as self-care and hand-eye coordination. Therapists
also assist with treatment and strategies to help
children with sensory processing difficulties.
- Physical Therapy
Focuses on improving balance, strength, posture,
and motor-control to develop gross-motor skills
such as rolling, walking, and jumping.
- Speech Therapy
Assistance for children with communication challenges.
Pathologists also work with babies to help them
with feeding concerns.
- Developmental Therapy
Support and suggestions to stimulate growth in all
areas of development, including speech-language,
social, emotional, fine motor and gross motor skills.
For children ages 0-3.
- Aquatic Therapy at Keeler
Center Pool
Keeler Center Pool is a warm water therapy pool.
Warm water therapy aids the body in relaxation and
aquatic exercise.
- Camp
Forever Summer Camp
An overnight summer camp experience for youth between
the ages of 8 and 18 with physical disabilities
or developmental delays.
- Free Developmental Screenings
Staff will assess fine and gross motor skills, speech
and language level and cognitive abilities. Free
appointments on Mondays from 9 am to noon. Please
call Liz at 630-966-4403 to schedule an appointment.
