About Camp Forever:
The Association for Individual Development’s
Camp Forever is an overnight summer camp experience
for youth between the ages of 8 and 18 with physical
disabilities or developmental delays. Camp Forever
is held at Camp Algonquin in Algonquin, IL. Camper
activities include:
- Games
- Nature Studies
- Hiking
- Special Events
- Campfires
- Arts & Crafts

- Music
- Dancing
- Sports
- Swimming
- Riding bikes (Project Mobility)

Who is eligible
to attend camp?
Youth between the ages of 8
& 18 years of age who have physical disabilities
or developmental delays and who meet the criteria
for camp admission are eligible for camp. These disabilities
include: residual paralysis due to polio, cerebral
palsy, spina bifida or other types of physical disabilities
such as amputation, congenital deformities, as well
as speech & hearing difficulties and those not
functioning up to their developmental age level. Eligibility
for camp admission is also based upon the potential
benefits of the camper’s experience, expectations
and capability for program participation.

If you'd like to volunteer to
